Now a motorcycle-bomb has struck a courthouse in Greece in what police suspect is a protest against the trial of the Cells of Fire suspects. Because of a warning call, nobody was hurt. According to USA Today, in an article full of irony, European anarchists are growing more organized as people suffer from declining levels of state welfare. Even more fecklessly, USA Today has described anarchy as a movement within the Left. Can it be? (...) since such catastrophes cannot be the consequences of their own ideology, the problems must be caused by a failure to apply that ideology ruthlessly and thoroughly. The anarchist activity on the extreme Left suggests some within are ready to move onto the next phase: internal rectification.

Rectification is not an electrical term. On the Left it means “power struggle” or purge. In the beginning it will take exactly the form we are witnessing now: a signaling exercise on the Left ostensibly directed at the mythical right but essentially aimed at sending a message to leftist politicians and semi-respectable activists that they haven’t been militant enough. It is an open political letter from one faction to the other. In the case of Greece the message is simple. Keep spending, the hell with austerity. The warnings to get clear of bombs suggests the “anarchists” still regard their targets as broadly fraternal, but the subsequent real explosions say their forbearance will not last forever unless the moderate left gets serious. The USA Today article continued, “”Anarchists-insurrectionists work to try to raise the level of clashes when there are problems’ said Marco Boschi, a criminologist who teaches a course on terrorism at the University of Florence”.

The anarchists themselves are ineffectual but provide the symbols around which the larger Left can rally. (...) In fine anarchists are Red Guards of the European Left, a collection of dupes formed inside the vast and creaky infrastructure of Marxism to advance the interests of one faction against another faction. It is impossible to understand the politics of the Left without grasping that it is all about deniable intimidation. The real problem European anarchism solves is how to send bombs without seemingly sending them, or how to trash the Tory party headquarters in London without really doing it. (...) >>>

Italian news reports say a claim by an Italian anarchist group was found at the site of one of the twin embassy package bomb blasts in Rome.

The ANSA news agency said Thursday night that the written claim was made by the Italian Anarchist Federation. Anti-terrorism police officers at Rome police headquarters declined to comment on the report.

The group has long been known in Italy and has a Web site calling for the end of what it says is man's exploitation of fellow man. Earlier, Interior Minister Roberto Maroni said the blasts at the Swiss and Chilean embassies were likely the work of anarchists. This is the state of affairs in Europe. A police precinct is assaulted, officers are wounded, and the entire press corps prints the same prefabricated narrative, carefully omitting the fact that it involves Moroccans. One actually has to go the site of Extreeeme Right political party Vlaams Belang to discover that fact. Comments on Dutch pomo site Fok.nl are quite cynical: "the Swedes again, eh", and "terrible, the Finns!" (it's like wartime censorship, people are starting to autocorrect to get to the real story). The basics of the official - politically correct narrative - are as follows:

- Boy has been provoking police for days.
- Finally last night, they arrest him.
- Family and friends (some 60 people) assault precinct.
- Riots spread to streets nearby.
- Nine officers are wounded; one was hit in the back with a gas tank.
- Some 100 policemen, 2 water cannons and 1 chopper are required to quell the rioting.

As we open today's papers, we see that French forces are doing battle on two fronts: in the now-infamous suburban slums and in Afghanistan where death tolls are rising in the battle against the Taliban. Le Monde headlines this morning with an article highlighting the increasing use of firearms against police officers in the ghettos surrounding paris, commonly referred to as the banlieue.
Even though the most recent incident proved to be relatively tame - ten police officers were hospitalised with minor gunshot wounds after a clash with youth in Mureaux - this seems to be part of a frightening trend. One of the interesting points to note here is that when the French banlieue came to the world's attention with three weeks of rioting in late 2005, only one person was injured over the course of those firey weeks.
And that seems to have been the tacitly acceptable way to riot in France - burn some cars, throw some Molotov cocktails. As long as no one gets hurt, it's all just another evening of rioting fun. The turning point came in November 2007, when rioting in Villiers-le-bel led to 82 police injuries - many due to shot gun wounds. It was a shock to most people when it came out that the police were drawn to a location by a fire, then ambushed by masked youth.
It's a tactic which seems to be be gaining in popularity as the police in Mureaux were drawn to the scene by a burning car, then fired on by a man posted on a balcony, who "couldn't be arrested", the article says. (...) >>>

In my TV piece for CBN News from Malmö, Sweden about the rise in Muslim influence, I show leftists and anarchists marching alongside Muslims and Arabs who are chanting a death threat to Jews from the Koran. The Muslims are chanting "Khaybar Khaybar ya Yahud, jaysh Muhammad saufa ya'ud. The translation is "Khaybar, Khaybar o Jews, the army of Muhammad will return". Khaybar refers to a Jewish town on the Saudi peninsula wiped out by Mohammed in 628 A.D. The Muslim Hadith says that Muhammad killed the men in Khaybar and took the women and children as slaves. (Below is more raw footage of the march in Malmö against the Sweden-Israel Davis Cup Match on Saturday, March 7. It was not shot or posted to YouTube by CBN).

As I have reported before, anti-Semitism experts such as Manfred Gerstenfeld, Robert Wistrich and Andrei Markovits believe hatred of Israeli policies by the European Left has morphed into full-blown anti-Semitism. The fuel for it is ridiculously one-sided coverage of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. You do see occasional statements from leftist political leaders that they object to Israel, but also oppose anti-Semitism. So, why march with anti-Semites? And where is the condemnation from Sweden's Leftist establishment for Muslims chanting death threats? >>>
